Sun’s up, another day
Awakened slowly, feeling okay
Stuck inside, quarantine haze
Endless year, COVID days
Check Instagram, usual start
View photos, tap hearts
Post today, guess so
Recycle photo, they’ll know
Family asleep, house quiet
Eating poorly, comfort diet
Body aches, now supersized
Clothes tight, should exercise
Chair instead, computer glare
Flashing cursor, blank stare
Creative atrophy, settling within
Going nowhere, staying in
Kids awake, devices shine
Downtime off, Tik Tok time
TV sleeping, avoiding clues
Death toll, vaccine news
Wife disappointed, I’m disengaged
Same reality, different page
Half day gone, my chores ignored
Sunday full, busy being bored
